A New View

Sorry to leave the mice pictures up for so long! I know they are so gross! Chris thought they were good pictures of the day, but they creep me out even still! I could hardly look at my OWN blog for awhile because I didn't want to see them.

On a quick side note, I think the mice are finally gone...hopefully! We ended up catching 3 of them, which is more than we have EVER caught, but I haven't seen anymore for a week or so, so hopefully that was it! Keep your fingers crossed that they are gone!

OK...different topic! I've been such a slacker with my scrap book pages. I don't know what my deal is! I have sat down and started to do pages tons of times, but they just all wind up looking "dumb" and so then I end up pushing the delete button or just not even finishing it. Honestly it's been so long I was afraid I had forgotten how to do it!

Little Boy kits are so hard to find, but a few days ago I found this little boy kit on line for FREE, so I downloaded it, and decided a new kit should be inspiration enough to get a couple pages done.

So here is my newest page. I guess if anything, it gets the mouse pictures off my blog and gives you something else to look at for awhile!

Mickey, Minnie & Frankenstein

It's not even October yet, and we've had lots of little characters coming and going in our house!

"Mickey" showed up last Wednesday much to my utter and complete horror! I was sitting at the table feeding Bubby his snack, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mickey come running straight for the heating vent! Being the "big girl" that I am, I made some horrible shrieking sound, said something like "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Scooped Bubby up and ran for the living room, because you know...mice don't go in the living room. (I think really rationally when I see mice!)

Chris of course came running up to see what the big emergency was, and was not too happy when he found out it was "just a mouse". I don't think anyone but my mother and sisters understand the sheer panic and stress that happens to me when I see a mouse. Traps were bought THAT day, and set ASAP. I wasn't living in this house with a mouse!

I had nightmares all night that night about stupid mice. We have a heating vent right above our bed and I kept thinking that the mouse was gonna jump out of there and land right on my face. Thankfully we caught Mickey that next day!

Of course as luck would have it...Mickey brought along a friend! I don't think Mickey had been caught for less than a couple hours before I saw the other mouse. YES...it was ME AGAIN who got the privilege of seeing the second one. "Minnie" was a little more brave. I saw her LOTS of times, and we didn't catch her for a few days. It was getting the the point of either her staying, or me. Thankfully I was the one that got to stay.

So far so good...we, or I guess I should say I have not seen anymore! I'm hoping they are gone, and we wont have a problem again!

Bubby is getting quite good at his walking skills, however he reminds me a lot of Frankenstein when he walks. My new nickname for him is "Frank". He walks with his arms straight out and his legs spread far apart, but he walks for long distances. It's pretty cute to watch him! I'm thinking of having him be Frankenstein for Halloween, but I doubt he'll still be walking that way by the time Halloween rolls around. It might still be a cute costume though, we'll see. I guess you'll just have to wait for the Halloween card to see. :)

"Walking"

OK so it technically isn't FULL blown walking, but it is more than just one or two steps!

Bubby decided to kind of "take off" today with his walking. Funny enough he was watching his all time favorite show "Charlie and Lola" and the next thing I know, he is taking multiple steps towards the T.V.! Me and my big mouth, I couldn't contain my excitement! I think my joyous outbursts scared him a little, and he promptly sat down and crawled the rest of the way. Dang it!

He took a few more steps here and there. I couldn't get him to do it long enough for me to get out the video camera, but I did get a couple of little "walking" pictures. I love how he has to have his "cold drink" with him, as he tours the kitchen.

Guess it wont be long now! I'm a little nervous about the walking stage, but I'm also excited and ready for him to walk. He has been getting awfully heavy and it will be nice to not have to carry him everywhere! :) Guess we're going shoe shopping soon! Yea!!!! ha ha

Bad Hat!

This picture just cracks me up everytime I look at it! The other morning Bubby was crawling around in his diaper, doing his usual "mess around" in each of the rooms. I could hear him in the piano room so I called for him to come back to me in the kitchen. I could hear him crawling on the laminate floor, but then he kept stopping and getting upset. I peeked around the corner and there he was with the chair's arm rest cover on his head! He was trying to put his "hat" on, and crawl with it, but it kept falling off, or else it would slide down covering his eyes so he couldn't see.

Chris and I laughed and laughed at his "bad hat" as my family would say. He got a little self conscience with all the laughing, so he stopped trying to put it on, but it was funny while it lasted! I guess I will never understand why he will put anything on his head but a REAL hat.

Coincidence....? Probably not!

Today for about the 57th time, I went over to get Keric out of the CD and DVD cupboard and I had to kind of laugh to myself.

He was holding a CD that I truly have no idea where it came from. I don't know if it was one I had a long time ago, or one Chris had, but it's just a CD without a case that apparently has been floating around in the cupboard and Keric has found it.

If you look closely the title of the CD is called "Drive me Crazy". All I can say is... truer words have never been spoken!

and......he's off!!!

Today Keric decided to somehow pull the chair out from the table, and push it around the house, walking behind it. It's not completely walking, but it's more than he has ever done before, and he did it totally on his own! Guess it won't be much longer now....Heaven help me!
