Happy Halloween!

We had a really fun Halloween this year! We took the kids to the Ward Halloween party in their costumes. We had a chili cook off, (I think Chris should have won...!) Prizes for costumes, (Cameron won one of the silliest costume awards), and then we took them "Trunk or Treating".

I had planned for Keric to have his face painted Green and his hair dyed black for his costume. I was able to get ONE of those tasks accomplished. I got the green make up on him, but he was SO UPSET about it that all the tears and snotty nose basically was just washing it off and making a huge mess. So I ended up wiping the rest of it off and just painting his little scars on with eyeliner. I did get the black hair dye in his hair, he didn't like it, but I got it in there.

When we got home from the ward party, Chris took him upstairs and bribed him with suckers and ended up getting the makeup on him without any tears. My eyeliner wasn't dark enough for the scars to show, but he did have a green face for part of the night.

It was quite the mess when the night was over! I stuck him in the bath and WOW...it was filthy by the time we were done! I do however think he was the cutest little trick or treater out there! I mean seriously.... does a costume GET any cuter than this one??

Here are some pictures of our night. Just a warning, you know how we LOVE to take pictures, so there are quite a few. Just so you know,.you might be scrolling for a while. :)

Hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween as well!

Miss Priss

I had to show of my "girly" scrapbook pages since I never get to do many! :) I had to scrap with a kit called Miss Priss, and it was FULL of glitter and flowers, and pink, and everything OPPOSITE of what Bubby is! So I had to get creative.

I borrowed Violet, and also some of Reagan's baby pictures, and this is what I cam up with. I only HAD to do two, but I could have probably done 10, however I stopped at 4. I think they turned out pretty cute, but then again, I had VERY cute models! :)

Thanks Jenn and Shannon, for letting me borrow your girls!

Creative Team #2

The announcement didn't officially come out until today, so I haven't really said anything about it, but now I CAN!

I may be crazy, I don't know...but I LOVE it! I love the challenge of HAVING to do a layout with a certain kit, and I love making myself think outside the box. It's way too easy to buy kits that go with certain pictures. It's a much bigger challenge to be given a kit, and told..."do something with this".

So yes, I am now on Scrapbooking Creative Team #2. This time I am scrapping with the Designer JennCk. Here are a few of the layouts I have done for her over the past couple weeks.

My Creative Team Lay Outs

I'm having TONS of fun being on this new Creative Team. Truth be told I'm probably having too much fun! I don't think that I have scraped this many pages since the first week I started scrapbooking!

The thing is, is that I get all the free kits I want, whenever I want, which is VERY fun and I just can't help wanting to do more and more pages with all these "new" kits! I know Chris hates all the time I spend on the computer, which I freely admit is way too much, and I probably need an intervention of some sort, but hopefully one day he will be able to forgive me and he won't mind all the money we will now save from not having to BUY Scrapbook kits! :)

These are the Lay Outs I've done in the past week, the "You Color My World" layout was the layout that won an award in one of the gallery's I have to post in, which was pretty cool! I have never won an award before!

Some of you may have already seen these if you follow any of the other blogs, or if you are on facebook, but I'm posting them here anyway! You don't have to look at them again! ha ha

The Return of a Long Lost "Friend"

Keric never did take too well to a binky. He had one for about the first month of his life, but never again. I took it away from him when I was told the useless sucking may be a reason he wasn't gaining any weight. After that day, he never took it again.

So I have a couple binkys lying around the house, and Chris found one today. He thought he would be funny and he gave it to Bubby to play with.

Well...look what I found later on today!!!

I'm not too worried because half the time he has the wrong END in his mouth, but it was a little weird to see my little boy with a binky in his mouth! Don't know what the appeal is with the other side, but whatever??

I'm not too worried about having to hide the binky from him or anything like that. He lost interest in it rather quickly. I may however have to hide it from Mae Mae! While Bubby was playing with the binky and I was trying to take pictures of him she told me "I wish I could suck on that binky for a little while too." Funny girl! She still remembers he binky days, and apparently still misses them. ha ha

Scrapbooking Creative Team

Today was an exciting day for me! I have been digital scrap booking for about 6 months now. There are tons of aspects to the "digiscrap" world! One of those aspects is being part of what is known as a Creative Team.

A Creative Team is a team of people who "work" for a specific designer helping her to promote her digital kits. You get all the fun kits for free in exchange for doing layouts with her stuff and posting them in various places. They are supposed to inspire other scrappers, and also "sell" the kit.

I have applied for a few Creative Teams in the past, but have never made the cut. I got pretty close one time, but didn't make it. This last week there have been several Creative Team calls on lots of sites, and so I applied to 3 this week.

The first team I applied to, I got a "no". This was no number 2, so I was thinking, OK...three strikes and I'm gonna be out. I had two more applications out that I hadn't heard back from, but I wasn't holding my breath.

HOWEVER...much to my surprise I got an e-mail from the second designer I applied to inviting me to be on her team! She is a new designer, so her store isn't real big yet, but she has such cute stuff! I'm so excited to be on a team! Her site is located at: http://jacabean.blogspot.com if you want to check her out.

Chris doesn't "get it", he's not nearly as excited as I have been all day,but I guess I can't fault him too much for that. He thinks I'm crazy with this digital scrapping anyway. Most of my digiscrapping friends are excited for me though, so that's good enough I guess.

I have already completed and turned in my first Layout for a kit that will be released in stores on October 30.

I feel very confident in saying.....YEA ME! :)

Oh, and I also started yet ANOTHER blog for the layouts I do for this team. It seemed easier to do a new blog just for that than it would be to try and "sell" scrapbooking kits on our family's blog. haha It's listed under my fun blogs tab -"Our Life Digitally Scrapped, " if you ever get really bored one day.

Tooth Fairy Drama

Yesterday Reagie lost her very first tooth. It has been loose for awhile, but she finally got brave and asked her Grandma Sandy to pull it. I don't think it was quite ready, but it came out. :)

She was really excited to put her tooth under her pillow that night for the tooth fairy. After Family Prayers I heard her talking to Cameron about waking her up in the morning. Cameron has always been a fairly early riser, and Reagan is more of a sleeper. She made Cameron PROMISE her that he would wake her up if he was awake and she wasn't yet. At the time I thought it was because she was nervous about making it to school on time for walk to school day.

So this morning, true to his word, on his way to the shower, Cameron woke Reagan up. I was up getting ready and I overheard this conversation between Cameron and Reagan.

Reagan: Cam, I think the tooth fairy came last night.

Cam: Did you check under your pillow Mae?

Reagan: Well...I wanted to, but I'm scared.

Cam: Mae Mae, what are you scared about?

Reagan: I don't know, I'm just scared. Can you come look for me?

Cam: OK...I'll come look under your pillow for you.

Shortly after that, Reagan came in to show us the two dollars all folded into cool little triangles that the tooth fairy had left for her.

I'm not exactly sure what was so scary about the tooth fairy, but I guess it was a good thing Cameron was there to protect Reag from her.
